Objective of D-Pharmacy Program
The program has following objectives to:
- Advise patients about medicines, including how to take them, what reactions may occur and answering patients' questions;
- Apply standards, guidelines, best practices, and established processes related to safe and effective medication use;
- Provide effective medication services in hospitals as well as in the community settings;
- Read/interpret prescription and ensuring that the medicines prescribed to patients are suitable;
- Demonstrate leadership in managing quality supply of pharmaceuticals and to promote rational use of medicine within the healthcare facilities and in the community pharmacies;
- Engage in production and preparation of medicines and assessments of quality of medicines before they are supplied to patients from pharmaceutical manufacturer; and
- Develop the positive attitudes towards the professional career with greater initiative and self-confidence.
Course Duration
The total duration of this curricular program is three years.
